I'm going to tell you guys something i've never told
anyone before. I'm secretly in love with two
characters called M. and T.T.D., they are intelligent
and remarkably handsome. If only I was made of ink...
(my secret fantasy: having them congratulate me on my
birthday. It's on 5/dec by the way)
phew... I feel better already, a huge burden off my
chest ;)
A.

Hmmm, a Sagittarius, the most philosphical of the signs. Why would George W. pick that?

Bet the White House liked hearing Dr. Freud rave about this week's George Will even less than Mr. Bunny did. Especially that last paragraph (ouch) and, more specifically, those last two sentences (double ouch).
Okay, so research indicates Puffintoad runs competitively and may have a small carb addiction going. But no art. Hmmmmm. Guess we'll have to wait until she posts that Dr. Who scarf. As to Friday's comment by Scott MGS: Sadly, I think a lot of us resemble that remark. And, Col, thanks for the update on your new name. I went to your blog off of Friday's comment, and then on to flickr when it wasn't loading images. My favs are the shot of you with the camera and the one of the ski slope.
Puffintoad's right, of course. And you can see her blog here. And because I was so dang tired and forgot yesterday, please check out Camobunny's here. Here's Salman Rushdie and his infamous The Satanic Verses. Personally, I couldn't get into it, but I really liked Haroun and The Sea of Stories. But what I'm curious about in this moment is if there's any place online to see the Alaskan artist Puffintoad's work.

So I had already laid out two new strips earlier. Took more time than I'd like to say. And all I needed to finish today's (which sets up tomorrow's) was one little piece from one little spot on the Internet. A little spot which has been down for about eight hours now. So, ta-daa, today's even newer strip is just minutes out of the oven. Fresh and tasty. Hope you enjoyed it.

The new format has caused some problems, depending on how one arrives at the older horizontal strips. And I discovered it still looks like poo in Safari. Arrgh! (to quote Charlie Brown). (Anyone with a clue on that Safari problem, please share, keeping in mind I know zip about code.)

I happened into a classical guitarist performing at a museum several years ago, and he was phenomenal. So when I got an e-mail saying he'd be at Dizzy's playing some Beatles tunes on John Lennon's birthday, I decided to go. Took one of my kids. Didn't matter that it was a school night. He was interested and he's great company.
The thing is, the guy would play chords for a while, the rhytmn section, I guess. Then he'd click some device with his foot, and a recording of what he just played would start looping. He'd then add the melody and, on some pieces, a few other bits. By the end of most pieces, he was "playing" at least two guitars and maybe three or four. I'd prefer to see him play just the one, but this multi-guitar trick was unbelievable--and seamless.
A guy named Chuck Perrin owns the club. I hired him several years ago to play guitar and sing on the one song I ever wrote that I had recorded. He's mostly a jazz performer, but brings in other stuff, too. Anyway, all this is to say that he told me he has high-quality MP3s of some of his work available for free and legal download at his Web site. Check it out. Click :44 of Love on the home page.
Oh, and my blog has a new look. It's not where I want, but I think it's an improvement. And getting that off my plate for a while, anyway, will free me up to look at some things I want to accomplish with the strip. 'course, have to wait and see what I think of this new approach in a week or two.
Thanks for reading this far.

Apparently I don't have the stamina of someone who can review 100 Blogs in 100 Days. I blame him. Be back Monday with Dr. Freud and Mr. Bunny on the war in Iraq. Here's to a great weekend for all.
