You can send a link to this strip to friends and family by clicking the envelope icon below. (If you're here for the strips on JenGarrett of 100 Blogs in 100 Days fame, start on September 3. Some of my favs--and the ones she reviewed--start before that. For them, begin with the bottom strip on this page.) Peace.

FYI

It was Reginald Denny that made the line: "Can't we all just get along" famous.

Rodney King was a nothing but a habitual criminal punk.

Thanks for the comment. We do make mistakes here, and I agree the quote in question would fit Reginald Denny's character, but it was King who uttered that famous line. From Wikipedia:

"...King made an appearance before television news cameras to plead for peace, saying, 'Can't we get along here? Can't we all just get along?'" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_King

The thing that struck me was how he was mocked for that line by the media and populace, as if he were naive for suggesting that we strive to get along. Is reaching for that particular star such a bad -- or impossible -- thing?

Thanks for taking the time.
